Wanted:  Summer Readers — Read & Alive!  Reward!

Sign up for our “Wild West” Woodstock Library Summer Reading Program any time at the library and receive your choice of a Cowboy/girl hat or bandanna.

Howdy Reading Pardners!  Whenever you stop in at the library this summer, there will be prizes, free books to celebrate half-way there goals, and grab-n-go activity packs!  Courtesy of Sweet Evalina’s, participants will earn a certificate for a free ice cream treat when self-chosen reading goals are complete!

Summer Family Storytimes will take place on Wednesday mornings at 10 AM, and include stories, songs, a craft and a chance to make a snack together, through August 16th!  On Thursday, August 17th, join us at 6:30 PM for our “Heroes & Tall Tales” Pajama Storytime!  (Storytimes will begin again on September 6th.)

At 7 PM on July 6th and August 3rd, school-aged kids, teens and even parents can join us for “Wild West” Craft Adventures (first Leather Unisex Bracelets and then Lucky Horseshoe Hangings).

Don’t forget to sign up for our Saturday, June 24th, 2 PM Animal Embassy Show!  We will learn about kindness and respect from live animals, including a Bearded Dragon, California King Snake, and Australian Hare from Cowboy Country!  Ages 4 (or capable of sustained attention) and up!  Sponsored by the CT Humanities Council and the West Woodstock Library.  Limited seating — sign up now!

Preregister for all these free programs at the library by calling Ms. Sue at 860-315-5181.
