Our library provides a variety of Storytimes and special programs.
In spring, summer, and fall, come see our Storybook Walk behind the library! In the summer, join our Summer Reading Program for rewards, grab-n-go kits, prizes and free books. Check out our Facebook project and Craft Adventure posts to find fun ideas for the whole family!
To keep up to date on all our Children’s Programming, contact Ms. Sue at email@example.com and ask to be put on our weekly children’s programming newsletter list.
We currently offer a combination of in-person indoor and virtual storytimes!
Wednesday Morning Storytimes at 10 AM – IN PERSON, Indoors
Each day we will look, listen, sing, move, and encourage a lifetime love of reading! Craft bags will be distributed to be taken home. Space is limited, so pre-register each week with Ms. Sue at firstname.lastname@example.org. If we have more families than we can accommodate on our regular Wednesdays, they will be offered a Thursday slot for a repeat storytime. Masks required. Check our calendar for upcoming dates.
Monday After-School Storytimes at 4 PM – VIRTUAL
We will explore a longer picture book by including song, humor and a demonstration of a related hands-on project! For elementary ages and pre-schoolers with sustained attention spans. Contact Ms. Sue at email@example.com to receive a link. Check our calendar for upcoming dates.
Connecticut Nutmeg Book Award Nominees
The library has Intermediate and Teen titles listed on the Connecticut Nutmeg Book Award nominees list available for loan. The Nutmeg Book Award encourages children to read quality literature.
Other Children’s Corner News
The library purchases an average of 10 new children’s books every month. A library card makes a great gift for your child on their birthday! Ask the librarian about this the next time you are at the library.
